Last week I finally sent one of my long time projects in the Taco Cave. While it is not the full Warpath, it is just as worthy. It is somewhat easier as well, skipping the final crux V9/10 section (Out of Africa) and continuing left through the roof on a few hard link moves (V8?) to finish on The Smell, making a slightly longer line. Not sure if it has been done before (Litz? Maische?) but I was very, VERY psyched to have finally sent…major break through. Check out the vid:

Castle Rock Vid: Waxie Pants

Here is Mark Polinski sending a great link-up on the Green Wall called Waxie Pants. This problem starts at the far right of the wall on Waxies Darble and goes through a few hard link moves into the top (crux) section or Pissy Pants. Check it out:

Castle Rock Vid: Heartncocknballs

by scrappyv14 on May.02, 2010, under Castle Rock, Climbidaho.com Blog, Videos

Heartncocknballs (named after some oddly shaped patina on the rock) is one of the best problems at Castle. It’s steep, huecoed roof and gymnastic movement is similar to some of the best problems you can find at Hueco Tanks. Here is Walker Kearney sending the problem with ease:

Castle Rock Vid: Unknown

Here is a cool problem back in the heart of Castle. I know it has been done a few times before but I am not sure why it doesn’t see more traffic. While it is not the Taco Cave or Green Wall, this is a prime example of what you can find in Castle if you just do a little searching.

Castle Rock Vids: The Stanky Leg

by scrappyv14 on Apr.30, 2010, under Castle Rock, Climbidaho.com Blog, Videos

Here is Mark Polinski sending the terrifying highball, The Stanky Leg. This problem starts on the smell and breaks left onto the prominent sloper ramp over the horrible landing. The crux of the upper section is the match move at the end of the ramp, just before you gain the jugs. At this point the landing has an awkward stagger to it, 3 foot fall below you, 20 foot fall onto pads just to your right and a 15 foot fall into the pit of death to your left. Luckily no one, to my knowledge, has tested the fall.

Castle Rock Video: Highball

Here is Mark Polinski on a cool highball deep within Castle Rock. It’s about 25+ feet tall and has some of the most perfect patina incuts I have ever seen. Check it out:
